A Little bit about the author...
My name is Jerry Johnson and I am the Director of Technolgy for Muskegon Public Schools. I have been w/ the district since 1992 and have had a variety of roles! I began my teaching career as a Title I and Kindergarten teacher. I taught kindergarten for five years!! My back couldn't handle anymore shoe tying so it was time for a change! :) I then put on my third grade teacher hat for a few years and soon after I became a reading coach/specialist. After that, I became the Principal of Bluffton Elementary School for five years!
I have been in this current role for the past four years and I love the direction Muskegon is headed in terms of learning and teaching especially in the form of Blended Learning! I am one of the current instructors for a course called Blended Learning in the Classroom. I also sit on the planning team of the Learning on the Lakeshore Ed Tech Conference. I have my Master's Degree from Western Michigan University in Educational Technology w/ an emphasis in leadership. Looking to learn more about a resource? Feel free to Book Me so that we can learn together to improve student learning! I am married and have four great kids! As a former basketball coach, I like to spend time watching my kids play sports as well as taking in a game or two! |
